caption contest, Santa and Stormtroopers

Standard

It’s a Monday, and it’s December now, so how about a Christmas-themed caption contest?  It sounds like a plan to me.   It works like always (if you aren’t familiar with them, I’ll explain).   I’ll post a picture, and you write a caption to go with it.   The caption can be dialogue from the people in the picture or analysis or commentary or just something funny to go with it.   Since a picture is worth a thousand words, there’s a lot of potential.  🙂

For this week’s picture, here’s Santa Claus being escorted down an escalator by Imperial Stormtroopers.  I have no idea what’s going on there, so perhaps we can figure something out.

  1. For added security, Santa ditched the reindeer and went with cloned Stormtroopers. Now he doesn’t have to deal with misfits (like reindeer with red noses) or tolerate the “silly reindeer games”. The clones offer complete obedience, plus they’re packing.

Santa also upgraded the sleigh with jets and hovercraft-ability. Plus the new sleigh has cloaking technology. (Now he can safely fly over those countries where most of the residents have rocket launchers.)

  2. Oh, no! Santa Claus has lost his memory again! What trouble will he get into this time?

(If you end up watching some of the many Christmas movies that are shown on the “ABC Family” channel — and if you’re married, that’s probably likely to happen — you’ll realize that a recurring theme is that Santa has lost his memory. Those shows are way too predictable. However, if his capture by Stormtroopers and his subsequent brainwashing by Darth Vader were part of the plot, that would make an awesome Christmas movie! Someone should make it happen…)

  7. Imperial screw up #19855: Upon capture of the “rebel base” it was revealed that the North Pole was mistaken for Hoth. And the nefarious “red leader” turned out to be jolly ol’ Saint Nick. P.S. those elves weren’t jawas either.
