caption contest, person watching volcano eruption

Standard

Once again, it’s time for our weekly caption contest.  I’m fairly sure we have yet to exhaust the previous one, but I’ll give you another one anyway.   Feel free to peruse the archives — your comments will be seen, no matter how old the post is.

Anyway, rambling aside, here’s the picture.   There’s someone standing outside a small stone house, looking at a volcano starting to erupt.  It looks like something action-packed is about to happen.  From the filename, I deduce it’s the Kliuchevskoi volcano in Russia.   But you need not concern yourself with the facts, because it’s a caption contest, so you get to make up the context.  Create some funny story / explanation / joke to go with the picture.

  1. photographer taking this picture: wouldn’t you know it! I camp out here for months waiting for that volcano to explode, and when I FINALLY get the shot I’ve been waiting for…some girl walks into the picture!

    • If you were waiting here for so long, I would htink you would be aware of a girl nearby… Why didnt you just ask her to move behind the house for a moment, it wouldnt take long, it wouldnt bother her I would think to move 10 feet to the left, and then you could get your pics… Your right, she ruined the shot… but it is still amazingly beautiful… but seriously you shoudl have just asked her to move.

  2. person outside: “For this volcano to erupt it would be absolutely, totally, and in all other ways, inconceivable.”

person in the house: “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

  3. It’s getting very difficult finding new volcanoes to build lairs in! The blasted things keep erupting! but hey! a guys got to keep up appearances… and nothing says evil genius quite like a lair built in a volcano!!!

  4. The other day I lost my temper and threw a kid into the volcano. He was burning me up figuratively, so I figure this is poetic justice… 🙂
