caption contest, people in field

Standard

This week’s caption contest features a number of leaders (like generals, admirals, colonels, etc) watching some people lined up in a field.  Are the people about to race, or are they planting or harvesting?   Or is something completely different going on?  No one knows, so you get to make it up.  (And to anyone who might get offended, remember this is just humor, so take a load off and lighten up.)

caption contest, Star Wars, evil donations

Standard

This week’s caption contest has a Star Wars theme.   It appears that the Sith Lord and an Imperial Stormtrooper are either selling something or asking for donations.  Who knows what’s really going on.   But that’s where you come in.  Figure out what’s happening, and write a comment about it.   Of course, your explanation / story doesn’t have to be anything realistic at all — just funny.

caption contest, people playing game in rubble

Standard

Here’s this week’s caption contest, featuring a group of people that appear to be playing a board game amidst rubble from some catastrophe like an earthquake or bombing.  I realize such events are tragic in real life, but the people in the picture are trying to have a good time despite whatever went wrong there, so in that same attitude let’s think of funny captions that go with this picture.

caption contest, dumping balls in water

Standard

My week of stuff (i.e., vacation) is over, so the frequency of posts should return to normal now.  Starting this week will be a caption contest, as is custom.  This week’s photo features men in uniform dumping black plastic balls into the water.  Is this related to the current news of BP’s oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico?  Or is it something completely unrelated?  You get to decide.  Leave a comment saying what you think is going on.  The only rules are that it must be clean, and try to make it funny.

caption contest, woman crashed car into boat

Standard

This week’s caption contest looks to be fun.  It involves a woman driver who has wrecked her car.

You get to make up the context for this picture.   How did this happen?  Why?  Was anyone or anything else involved?   What is she thinking?  What are the onlookers thinking?

(If you’re a woman who gets offended easily, perhaps you should go visit another page or site.   This is a humor blog, and jokes will be made, whether based on truth or imagination.  Just remember it’s all in fun.)

caption contest, ready, focus, shoot

Standard

Sorry for the shortage of posts last week — I was out of town a few days, plus I had stuff to do.   🙂  How about we kick this week off with a caption contest?

This week’s caption contest features a photo involving photographers, snipers / sharpshooters, reporting, and video.  I just don’t know what’s going on. So it’s up to you to explain what’s going on.  To give you some ideas, you can write about what these people are looking at, or you can write about the people in the picture.  You can write whatever you want — just make it funny and keep it clean.

caption contest, many people in one truck

Standard

Well, it’s definitely a Monday.  So to brighten things up a bit, here’s the next installment of our weekly caption contest.  This photo features a large number of people in the back of a truck.   You get to determine why.  Here’s some sample questions to help you think of a funny explanation.  Where are they going?  Who caused this?  What does the owner of the truck think?   Could anyone you know be involved in this?
